The Mount Washington Observatory Webcam is located on the observation deck atop Mount Washington.
The webcam is provided by the Mount Washington Observatory, a member supported organization.
Please do not bother the staff of the observatory.
The webcam updates every five minutes during daylight hours. You will need to make arrangements with someone at a computer to download your picture. He or she will need to go to the link provided: Mount Washington Webcam
Click on the window labeled "Observation Deck", right click on the picture, and 'save as' a .jpg. Post your picture (taken by the webcam) here as proof that you were there. This is required to log this cache!
Note: The webcam photo is at the top of the page. Ignore "Premium Content Views" which ALWAYS says "Webcam currently unavailable".
We would enjoy it if you would hold your GPSr up to the camera! This is geocaching, after all. Our cell phone did not work here. The summit of Mount Washington is closed to vehicular traffic during the winter months. Public facilities are also closed during the winter months.
Note: The Mount Washington Observataory has painted a white X on the patio, to show you where to stand!
