Geocache Description:

Located in Armitage Park, level terrain with a couple of fallen trees in the way, recommend long sleeved shirt and pants due to blackberries and poison oak known to be along this trail. Park is open from dawn to dusk and a day fee is required all year round now.

We chose this location as our first cache, to honor one of our favorite family pastimes, because of the opportunity to fish and "catch and release" trout all year long. The cache is a camouflaged tackle box with goodies pertaining to fishing and then some. Please use camera to take picture of yourself and fellow cachers as you sign the log to help commerate our first cache. Please enter your photo number next to your name in log.

Due to recent high water levels, our cache had to be replaced with an camouflaged ammo can at a higher elevation. We will clean out the old cache and process the film that was in the camera. Hopefully they will still come out. There is a new camera in the cache and we will process and post the pictures when this one is full. The terrain rating has been upped to a 3 due to some bushwacking because part of the path has fallen into the river. The new coordinates are: W 44 06.844 n 123 03.336
