This cache is located less than a mile from the Ricardo Campground Visitor Center in Red Rock Canyon and offers a great view of the campground and surrounding canyon.
While at the cache site, take a look around at the landscape and see natures erosion process at it's finest. Red Rock Canyon has always fascinated us. It seems we can always find a part of the park we havn't seen before. If the visitor center is open, be sure to stop in and see their exhibits and ask for a map of the park. It will be well worth your time. The cache is an ammo box filled with plenty of good stuff when planted. If you have 4WD, a motorcycle, or a quad you can get fairly close to the cache by turning into the wash at N 35 22.438, W 117 59.361. Please respect the No Motorized Vehicles signs and park your vehicle in the sand wash. Otherwise, you can hike to the cache from the visitor center parking lot.
