Tim Horton's, a Canadian institution, was founded by Tim Horton, an NHL All-Star defenseman from the 60's & early 70's who played most of his career for the Toronto Maple Leafs (of course), but also for the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Buffalo Sabres later in his career.
The first shop opened in 1964 and had expanded to about 40 stores throughout southern Ontario before he tragically went to the big doughnut shop in the sky. He was killed in a car accident in 1974. He was only 44.
Anyone who's ever been to Canada knows full well that you can see the next "Timmy's" from the parking lot of the one you happen to be standing in. In other words, they're EVERYWHERE!
Now for about a half million bucks, you can get you very own Tim Horton's franchise here in the U.S.!
So meet us at Timmy's from 6-9pm on Wednesday April 20th for socializing and great eats! They do have soup, sandwiches, and chili for those who want to grab some dinner while you're there.
Hope to see you there!
