Geocache Description:

What started as a simple event for the USC Film Crew, has escalated to a full blown Birthday Party for Team Dakiba! It's his BIG FIVE-OH and while he has specifically asked for us not to make a fuss, I find it too tempting to not have a little fun at his expense!

3:00PM on the Beach!

We'll start with a little swim at the above coordinates. The USC Film Crew will be there to film and interview the Loonies! We'll be doing the The Swimmer's Cache! Bring your swimsuit (or not), wetsuit, a towel, a boat if you have one, a swim mask, and anything else you need to retrieve this cache! A HUGE Thank You to Kevin for getting this cache back up in time for the event!

Then we'll move down the road a bit for some Food and Beer at 5:00PM! (come to the beach by 3:30PM for directions!)

In place of a raffle, we'll put Dana in the Hot Seat and in the typical ROAST fashion, you'll have 30 to 60 seconds to "say a few words". Get your notes together now and be prepared to share a few stories with the rest of us. Nora, bring a new tape for this part of the event! Everyone will want a DVD! HOT SEAT TIME = 7:00PM! Then we'll all sing Happy Birthday, have some cake, and enjoy the rest of the evening together!

HISTORY: The original purpose of this event was to help Nora and her crew finish their Video Project for USC! She needed a cache that was above and beyond what normal caching is. This is also her FINAL weekend of filming!

There were conversations a few weeks back between Ranboze and I about possibly doing Hat Trick or Stone Sentinel but we couldn't make the dates work. I sent Nora a picture that Cachedigger took of our climb up Stone Sentinel recently and she said NO! Nora and I have been playing phone tag for a week straight and finaly got to nail this down last night!

A number of phone calls back and forth and it was decided that The Swimmer's Cache would be a winner.

Plan a day of caching around the Long Beach area and lets meet on the beach at 3:00PM! A quick swim to get the cache and then we'll all get something WARM to eat!
