Ahh..California. Its state motto ought to be "King state of the vanity plate". I've never seen so many vanity plates in all my years than in this state.
And you know...you just wind up having to play that guessing game when you see one. "A1ANA2" was once registered to Lawrence Welk. I've seen Ben Stein driving his Cadillac -- "CLR EYES". My buddy Rob in Colorado is an avid skier and his plates are "ASCIBUM". A cacher-friend has "LNTNSL" for his jeep. The coolest two I ever saw was one on an old VW: "ML8 ML8". (Bonus points for guessing the model and color). The other was recent on a hybrid Prius -- "NV MY MPG".
I am not immune to the trend. So to celebrate the selling out of my soul to the California DMV for my new geocaching-based vanity plates, I thought to myself, "How can I get a full set of geocaching coordinates onto a vanity plate?"
