St. Paddy's Cache Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

GreenMinds: Greetings koneko,

This cache appears to have some issues and in need of maintenance due to one or more of the following:

  • the Needs Maintenance attribute is set for which no action has been taken on your part to address
  • a number of DNFs have been logged, which gives the community the impression that the cache may be missing
  • the cache has not been found in quite some time
  • a request for cache archival has been logged

If you, as cache owner, have confirmed that the cache is in place and in good condition, please share this with the caching community by posting an Owner Maintenance log. By doing so, this clears the "Needs Maintenance" attribute and lets cachers know that the cache is ready to be found once more. If another cacher has requested the cache to be archived, please ensure that the identified issue is addressed.

Otherwise, please take appropriate actions to repair, replace, and/or address concerns to get the cache back on its feet, or archive the cache so that this location is open for another cache placement.

If no action is taken or no word is heard from you by posting a log to the cache, the cache will be archived in roughly 30 days.

Thanks,

GreenMinds

Geocache Description:

No Zombies

Grab a bit o' the green today!

Saint Paddy's Day has come to be associated with everything geocaching: anything green and metal, all kinds of plastic micros, and of course, a good pint after a day of caching. To those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Paddy's Day is a traditional day for caching spirit renewal, offering prayers for mo-jo gods everywhere, and of course, a good pint after a day of caching.

This is just a little something to thank paddy yenar for several years of not only participation, but furthering geocaching on both a local and national scale.

Paddy found his first cache in late 2001. After nabbing the mere TWO caches in Lexington, he had to travel to Louisville a few months into 2002 in order to find the next nearest cache. Caching sure has changed in the Lexington area since then, mostly due to Paddy's influence over local cachers - both hiders AND finders, and the local administration. Due to Geocky's involvement, Lexington parks work with us in order to allow caching on park property. Paddy did a fantastic job of helping to lead the Geocky group through that crazy period while not only were we first starting up but geocaching was getting more attention in the media, and local authorities just weren't sure of what was going on.

Paddy, not only have you been a great caching partner (partner in crime?) but a great friend as well. I really just wanted to say thank you.

This cache contains a first finders prize for Paddy and several St. Patricks Day themed items along with a few other green items.

The terrain is rated a 2 only due to the possibility of lots of mud.
