No moa in Aotearoa (Canterbury) Traditional Cache
Kiwihunters: Visited cache site. Unable to locate cache and have decided not to replace as maintenance involves a 200km trip and our increased age and decreased enthusiasm make this impractical. We will archive cache, but as this is a great spot with toilet and picnic facilities it would be nice if a new cache could be placed here.
Cheers.

in our disclaimer.
This cache is located at a rest area on the middle road through the middle of the South Island, where the Canterbury Plains meet the foothills of the Southern Alps.
When you seek this cache you will be watched by two wirewoven examples of an extinct bird last spotted by Paddy Feaney of the West Coast.
There is no need to walk through private property to find the cache.
The cache is a camo-painted 1.5 litre snaplock container. When hidden it contained a log book, pencil and rubber, an Air NZ kiddies shoulder bag, a keyring container, a yoyo, a maze game, bubble mix and "What a Wonderful World" Travel Bug.
