*** UPDATE 3-31-05 ***
The event has been moved due to all the wonderful snow that has fallen recently. I went and did some recon today and was foiled a few miles from the trailhead.


SO... We will be at N 44* 23.131 W 122* 14.091. This area is on the same road that the orig. location was on (just incase someone dosn't look here before they head up). There is the Santiam Wagon Road to hike on real close and some great gravel bars to rockhound on right by the camp. Theres a nice fire place so bring wood if you want and there is plenty of room for tents. There is no longer a hike required. This is a great spot so please join us for some fun times! This event cache will be a "tent event." This is a great warm up for the Moose Lake tent event we are planning. It is also a great oppertunity to test out your gear for the season or see if there is somthing you need.

We will head up Saturday morning early (10 - 10:30am), and be staying till Sunday morning/afternoon.

This is yet another "low-key" event. Bring food and we'll plan on a potluck Saturday about 3 in the afternoon and into the evening.

DIRECTIONS: from the valley, take hwy 20 east to the House Rock Campground turnoff A.K.A. Latiwi Cr. Rd. stay on that road for about 2 miles or so and we will be on the right as soon as you cross the 2nd bridge. There is extra parking on the left hand side as well.
