Geocache Description:

Located in Fort Mott State Park

Small cache, log only, be sure to bring something to write with. This can be a very busy area so please use stealth! Great park for picnics, kite flying, watching boats go up and down the river. At times you can take a ferry across the river to Pea Patch Island where Fort Deleawre is located (an old civil war prison), and continue on the Ferry to Fort Dupont. This makes for a nice spring or summer outing, and there are often re-enactments held in these locations. Also near by is Finns Point National Cemetery where several Union and Confederate soldiers are buried, as well as some WWI pow's. Enjoy other caches in this park, and if you see a park ranger, please thank them for letting us have caches in this park! NOTE: GPS can go crazy here. The tree is not the right place. Cache was named this for a reason. Look around and Think!
