Geocache Description:

My fourth Letchworth State Park hide offers the longest hike compared to the other three. Don’t let the distance of a 1.4 mile walk scare you away because most of this popular park trail is level and there are many scenic views. In spots where there is slope, the inclines are minor and to stop at the views along the way breaks up the overall distance.

WARNING: This is an area of high bank cliffs without fencing and not an area recommended for small children. Adults should also exercise common sense.

Parking is found at N42° 42.011 by W077° 56.355 and nothing is closer unless you’re camping. There is no beeline shortcut and my best advice is to stay on the trail. I know this is a tough choice for some cachers and I’m sure some will believe they know a better way. The best way is the trail way that comes with all the views. If you are not within 200 feet it is not time to leave the trail.

The best scenic spot is just beyond the cache at N42° 42.796 by W077° 55.254. What a view. By all means, take a camera. Very few know about the several picnic spots along the way (including one remote pavilion). Take a lunch.
Also you can take your kids and pets but be aware, this is a high banks area with no fences.
