This cache is near the Simpsiö hill in Lapua.
Radio tower in Simpsiö was one of the first in Finland, and later it sent TV signal widely in Ostrobothnia. Even today this transmission tower is one of the highest towers in Finland.
On top of the hill there is an observation tower and the view from there is really worth seeing. Simpsiö Ski Centre is an ideal place for various winter sport activities. There are illuminated cross-country ski tracks, ski lopes, halfpipe etc.
There is no parking place near the cache, but the cache is near the road. You can see it from the car window (see picture).
Please put the cache like it was.
Be aware of geomuggles on the road.
TÄMÄ KÄTKÖ:
Tämä kätkö on lähellä Simpsiön vuorta Lapualla.
Lapualle pystytettiin masto radiolähetyksiä varten Simpsiön vuorelle. TV-lähetykset alkoivat 60-luvun alkupuolella ja lähetykset ulottuivat laajalle alueelle Pohjanmaata. Vielä tänäänkin Lapuan masto on yksi suomen suurimmista.
Kätköpaikalta näet Simpsiön vuoren ja kannattaa käydä myös vuoren päällä olevassa näkötornissa.
Autolle ei kätkön lähellä ole varsinaista p-paikkaa, mutta ei kätkökään ole kaukana tiestä, se näkyy auton ikkunasta (ks. kuva).
Laitathan kätkön samalla tavalla, ettei se paljastu!
