Geocache Description:

This is a two-stage cache located in an extensive suburban forest preserve. The first stage will contain the coordinates to the final stage. The two stages are within walking distance of each other. The second stage is a regular sized cache.

After Gandalf defeated the great Balrog, the remaining members of the fellowship felt the need for a slight diversion. They descended the steps in Moria and deposited a GeoCache for other inhabitants of Middle Earth to find in the Woods of Hammel. They would first need to find the clue in the elven script that leads to the final treasure. The treasure was secured in a clear container provided by the Maid of Rubber (which it is). Even today it awaits the adventurous GeoCacher.

Cache has been approved by Will County Forest Preserve District under these guidelines.
