Geocache Description:

Nice hike on a well maintained trail along a stream with very little elevation change. You will see plenty of hikers and mountain bikers on this trail.

This is a simple cache that is an easy grab if you are going to the Hewlett's Gulch cache. There are a number of old foundations to see along the trail from years gone by when there was mining in the area. Be sure to continue on up the trail and visit the old mines, they aren't very far away. The cache site offers a nice view of the trail, surrounding meadow and hills.

The cache is an ammo can.

There is a new parking lot with facilities at the trailhead which is just past Poudre Park (~ N40 41.356, W105 18.619).

Be cautious when hiking in this area and searching in the nooks and crannies as rattlesnakes are not unusual around here! Use good trail sense.
