This cache is hidden near an old vine and weed covered sign for
the now closed Squaw Point Winery. I'm not a fan of wine, but my
family always stopped at the winery to get supplies for my
grandparents and they never complained.
What really set the Squaw Point winery apart from the others,
however, was the Barrel People. The Barrel People were huge
"people" made out of wine barrels. On the winery grounds they had
dozens of them, and they were doing all kinds of crazy stuff. They
were riding tractors, using plows and numerous other things, but
unfortunatly those ones are now on private propery (and could have
been dismantled for all I know). But as luck would have it some
were also built along route 14 as advertisments, and still remain.
There are two right by this cache, and one even has the head still
attached. In fact it's the only one I know of that still has a
head.
Bonus points to anyone who uploads a picture of themselves
sitting/standing with the Barrel People!
