Geocache Description:

Located on a state forest trail, no bushwhacking necessary. Follow Route 30A South, right onto Corbin Hill Rd, right onto Pond Road, trail is on right hand side of road. (Go past first sign for Thomas Burbine nature trail on left before pond road)

Cache is a well hidden ammo box. You do not have to go onto private property to locate cache. There is a leanto on the trail with a fire pit if you want to picnic and perhaps have a barbeque or a campfire.

History: During the Great Depression, farmlands were abandoned and reverted back to state ownership. They have become our state forests. In 1930, Montgomery County purchased this property to create a County Forest. This is considered a managed forest meaning it provides wood products, clean water, homes for wildlife, recreation and educational oportunities. If you obtain a guidebook at the trail head, it will provide you a series of activities to make your day challenging and educational...Have Fun!
