This award winning cache was originally hidden for the Maryland Geocaching Society's 2005 Cache Across Maryland Event. It is located in Lake Needwood Park. Thank you to DaisyChain & FBS67 for all their assistance in helping me place this cache.
The 75 acre Lake Needwood is one of the crown jewels of Rock Creek Regional Park. Parking can be found throughout the park, but I recommend N39 06.888 W077 07.677. This is not your typical cache container, so make sure to close and re-hide it properly.
In addition to geocaching, this park features: Canoe/Paddle Boat Rentals, Fishing, Playgrounds, Hiking & Bike Trails, Snack Bar, Archery Range, Meadowside Nature Center, Needwood Golf Course and plenty of picnic tables & shelters.
