In the spring or warmer weather when the snow thaws in the woods the tracks of winter reappear on slender pedestals and the snow reveals in palimpsest old buried wanderings, struggles, scenes of death. Tales of winter brought to light again like time turned back upon itself.

This geocache was hidden for the inaugural Calgary Geocoin launch event held on April 2nd, 2005. My brother and sister-in-law, from the UK, came to visit and this was their first taste of geocaching. This cache is to celebrate the coming together of family and the warmth that is generated.
