THIS CACHE WILL BE ARCHIVED ON MARCH 13th, 2006. The cache location has sustained a lot of damage so we will be removing it.
A two stage multi located around the shores of Lake Aquitaine in Mississauga.
Lake Aquitaine is a beautiful man-made lake within the heart of Mississauga. It is a very busy recreational area with runners, bikes, soccer fields, and a playground. The site also offers local anglers the opportunity to catch numerous species of fish including bass, rainbow trout, and panfish. This is a great area to enjoy a stroll any time of year.
The posted coordinates are for the first stage which takes you to a sign in a parking lot. There is ample parking in the area 24/7. The sign gives more of the history of the lake and indicates the distance of the trail around the lake (x.x) km.
To find stage two (the final) add the number x.x to the minutes of the following north and west coordinates N043 33.845 and W079 43.663
You can walk around the lake or drive closer to the final coordinates. Street parking near the final will be a problem during school hours or on soccer evenings.
The final is a micro and can be difficult to retrieve because of the high pedestrian traffic in the area. Cache is night friendly, but the nearby apartment building may not appreciate BFLs in the bushes, use discretion. Please be really careful to rehide the final so it cannot be seen by passersby.
Enjoy the area – we have gone around many times progressing from a stroller to scooters and bikes!
