Coyote Peak Shady Rest Traditional Cache
sgrenfro: Found the cache quite a ways downhill, open with a missing log book. I think this makes the seventh time that's happened to this one. While it was nice having an easy-to-access large container here, it's a lot harder for us to get here for maintenance since we moved so I'm going to archive it.

We placed this cache at a nice rest stop on the trail from the Archery Range to Coyote Peak. This trail can be a bit steep, but is also less traveled than other routes. Even in the heat of summer, this spot should be nice and shady. This trail is only open from 8am to sunset.
The cache is a large ammo can that we placed in memory of the rainy morning workerofwood and I spent with the county parks adopt-a-trail volunteers. The original contents are mostly swag from that event, including an XL long-sleeve adopt-a-trail t-shirt, county parks hat and water bottles. We also added one kids and two adult CITO 2005 t-shirts, and a few other things from the kids. Note that this one is off-trail a bit in an area that looks heavily worked by wild pigs.
There's a fair bit of tree cover that may affect the coordinates, but the cache should be obvious from the right angle.
