Geocache Description:

This is a county owned retention pond bordered on one side by a church. There is a foot path and benches that circle the pond. To get to the peninsula, stay close to the water to avoid going on church property. When we were placing the cache, we saw an alligator (small fella of 3-4 feet), an osprey dive bombing for fish, a great blue heron wading, an anhinga drying his wings, a coot cooting about, and a Florida mallard a.k.a. black duck, which is neither black nor does it look like a mallard, paddling around. Watch out for poison ivy. We don't know if you can bring pets but we did see a lady walking her 3 dogs around the pond. Don't make a beeline straight for the cache, hang out and walk around the whole pond, there is lots of wildlife to see.

Bring something small to trade :) Parking off the side of Short or Dunbar St.
