Geocache Description:

Welcome to Palmerston North's oldest active geocache.
A little piece of history in our city.

Between the high road and the low road at the edge of the lawn, in the centre of its protector.
As correctly noted in logs, the protector is an English Yew tree, rather than a Tōtara as described by the original CO, but I'll leave the historical name as it is.

Small plastic box originally containing Nivea cream, a golf tee, bottle opener, small car, 10 Euro cents, a used phone card, a log book and a pencil.

You will need to be stealthy here!
Please don't attempt this cache if there is an event on at the function centre, especially if they are out on the lawn!
