Rittmeister Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen was known by many other names. His people called him der rote Kampfflieger (The Red Battle-Flyer), the French called him le petit rouge. Of course, he is best known in the English speaking world as...





This is a short, 2-stage multi. You can park near the posted coordinates and in other lots, nearby. Barron Stadium's Maddox track is open to the public. The facility is closed during track practices and events. Check here for more information. The public is encouraged to walk in the outside lanes (5-8) and avoid the use of lanes (1-4) at all times. The field at Barron Stadium is closed to all public use. You will not require access to the field to complete this geocache.

To find the cache you'll have to adopt the right altitude and also discover some historical facts about the life and career of the man who is still regarded as the Ace of Aces. Answer my questions as you prepare for the dogfight. The cache location is subject to mass public gatherings, so be advised and go when it's lonely.
