Geocache Description:

The path to this cache can be very muddy, and has already injured one cacher, admittedly it was on a flat piece of ground with very little mud and the route was safely traversed by a 5YO and a 10YO The above locations are for the final cache, however, there is no shown footpath to this point, start your search at N53 12.041 W3 3.872 where you will find the ONLY path to the cache site.

This is a Puzzle cache with a difference, finding the cache should be quite easy since its barely concealed, however, the real puzzle is to retrieve the 35mm film canister that is inside.

The cache had been designed to be solved by a family or group of people, its unlikely that any but the most prepared of solo cachers will effect an acceptable solution, whereas a famiy who came prepared for a picnic may find themselves well equipped.

There are a few rules that I ask everyone to obey, firstly under no circumstances should any part of this cache be dismantled (OK you can take the cap off), secondly, there is a designed solution that does not involve poking or probing the main part of the container and I discourage anyone to be tempted to try this becaause a piece of broken stick jammed in there could spoil the puzzle. Thirdly and most importantly, NO SPOILERS, however, I would appreciate detailed accounts on your solutions mailed to me which I may publish at a later date, especially if they are entertaining.

Initially and throughout the design of this cache I always envisaged calling it the Magic Flute, however, when scouting a location suitable for the cache, I found it hard to find a more acceptable place than where it currently is, and in the course of placing this Jill, the wife, managed to badly injure her leg! Though saying this I am still not entirely happy with its location, and will be happy to hear suggestions for alternative locations.

Due to tree cover there were few places where I could get a satisfactory signal, and since this cache is not about finding it, I will say that its attatched to the rear side of the largest tree visible from this waypoint.

G:UK cache rating
