Deceangi: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Heaton Park, one of the largest urban parks in Europe. It's an easy stroll but ground can get a little muddy in places after bad weather.

This cache is a Tupperware type container with a selection of trinkets and toys. It's an easy stroll that will take you to parts of the park not usually visited.

Heaton Park is a great park and well worth taking more time on the day to explore. There is a great new kids play area, farm centre, boating lake and masses of gardens & parkland that has just had millions of Heritage lottery money spent on it that has restored much of its past glory. The Hall itself is next to be renovated and is open weekends. Check the above 'Users Web Page' link to the parks web page for directions & opening times etc. It is normally open every day from early till dusk, the park gates will have that days closing time displayed on them.

There are a few car parks you can use around the park but the best two are off Sheepfoot Lane (South) & St Margarets Road (North).

This is the first cache we have placed so we hope it lasts well.
