How are your fishing skills? You won't need a fishing licence, but
you will need a steady hand and nerves of steel to hook this cache.
At the posted coordinates, you'll be standing in front of a tree
planted in the sidewalk with an interesting metal grate around it
cut into the shape of a fish. If you look down through those
cutouts, you should spot a small metal object resting on the dirt
below. Your mission is to retrieve and replace this metal capsule
undetected. Sound easy? -- maybe...maybe not.
I'd suggest using a small magnet on a string to retrieve the
cache. Once you've got it in hand, have a seat at the bench that's
about five feet from the cache. Open up the capsule and take note
of the contents -- BE SURE TO LEAVE THE OBJECT IN THE CAPSULE
FOR THE NEXT FINDER. Since the capsule is not waterproof, I've
placed the logbook in a small white screwtop container against the
north leg of the bench you're sitting on, covered with a few pieces
of the white gravel. Sign the logbook and replace it and the cache.
Please be sure to replace the cache container in the same location
as shown in the photos so it's out of reach of curious muggle
fingers!
In order to log this cache online, you must prove that you have
actually retrieved the capsule by sending me an email (through my
profile above) identifying the item that you found inside the
capsule. Don't include this information in your online log entry,
even if encrypted. Incomplete log entries will be deleted!
Update! The cache container has been
changed to a slightly different size and shape. You can remove
either end of the capsule with your fingernail or a pocketknife
blade. After taking note of the contents, please be sure that the
end cap snaps back firmly into place. And PLEASE leave the object
in the cache container there for the next person to find and
identify in their email to me.
