Geocache Description:

Crookstone Knoll is an unprepossessing rocky outcrop at the eastern tip of the Kinder Plateau. It is, however, home to one of the finest viewpoints in the Peak District.

Try to do this cache on a nice day to fully appreciate the wonderful views.

Starting from the north-west, you can see: Woodlands Valley, Alport Valley including the “Castles”, Derwent Edge, Crook Hill and Ladybower Reservoir, Win Hill, Bamford and Stanage Edges, Jaggers Clough, Edale Valley and Hope, Lose Hill, Hollins Cross and Mam Tor.

Normal warnings about being properly equipped when visiting areas of remote moorland apply to this cache.
