Geocache Description:

This is the world's biggest axe - and it is in Nackawick, NB
This is an easy cache, but watch for muggles and rehide well.

Take the exit to Nackawick while driving on the Trans Canada Highway. Cross the green bridge on the Saint John River and continue straight for 4 km. Turn right at the Irving gas station and head towards the Nackawick Arena.

Park your car in the parking area and walk to the small but beautiful park in the middle of which is the world's biggest axe. It stands about 25 feet high and 10 feet accross it's double cutters.

As per the inscription from 1991, this axe was erected for the importance of the forest industry to the people of Nackawick. Nackawick has a big mill, which has closed down a few months ago, but is in the process of being sold to another company. Will it reopen ? Who knows ! The people of this area are mostly all workers in the forest industry. Now that the mill is closed, alot of people are suffering, and some may have to move. (very unpleasant).

Take time to visit the World's Biggest Axe. Take photos

The cache is a white tobacco container and is winter friendly. It has:
Log book , pencil, sharpener
Vibrating gismo, picture frame,#15 blue Hello, red Pliers, red adj. wrench, yellow golf ball, Hello Kitty
