Short but rugged hike with nice views of the Grand River in Cambridge
Located in a spot not too far from parking and trails this was and probably still is a destination for many kids, although it used to be a whole days adventure down an abandoned rail line to get here. Caution is advised as the path down is steep and there is about a 3 meter climb up to the cache. No special equipment is needed, but a small flashlight might come in handy. Do not attempt to access the cache from above. Ways of access are here N43 22.568 W080 20.309 or here N43 22.602 W080 20.371 and parking can be found here N43 22.583 W080 20.387. This cache is not bike, dog, night, winter or young child friendly although as I said before older children have been hiking here for years so use your best judgment for your own children ( and yourself for that matter ). That being said the trail attached to the parking area is a great family spot with lots of nice views and another cache (GCK7R2) not too far away. Cache is a small micro container well hidden containing only a log book, please bring your own pen or pencil. Good Luck and have fun.
