
I usually park at Feather River Hospital Family Health Center. The trail head is a WIDE trail about 100 yards befor you reach this parking lot. Once you start on the trail, there is a portion that is flat, but eventually it twists and turns and you make your way to the flume. The cache is down streem. Follow the coordinates and hike down from the end of one of the cat-walks.

I originally wanted to place the cache at a swimming hole in Feather River below, but after hiking all of the way down to the river, the swimming hole is too difficult for most to reach. I did not want the cache to be the incentive for those that are not sure footed or are not good at avoiding poison oak. If you decide to go, you better be agile. It is very steep and there is poison oak the entire way. I would rate the terrain to the river below as a 4.5.
