Geocache Description:

One of TV's all time greatest and most successful shows, Let's Make a Deal was a game of intuition, skill, luck, decision-making and greed...all mixed into one. There were numerous variations on the game, some of which involved locked boxes and multiple keys. This sounded just the kind of inspiration we needed for the April Fool 2005 Mystery Cache so here it is.

This cache is one of the three regular caches that participate in the April Fool 2005 Mystery Cache and, if you want, you can just find and log this cache without participating in the more complicated hunt. This cache is located in the Durham Region Forest along the Oak Ridge Trail and should be pretty easy to find. It is a large Ammo box and contains the usual assortment of trading goodies.

If, however, you are participating in the April Fool 2005 Mystery Cache you will probably already know that in the lid, as well as on the first page of the log book, there are instructions for finding a locked offset cache. To open the locked offset cache (which contains details of a possible final location for the April Fool 2005 Mystery Cache) you will have to have the right key. Some keys are moving around the area as travel bugs but finding the right one for the right box that contains the right instructions will be a matter of intuition, skill, luck, decision-making and/or greed.

2006-01-31 Update: Apparently some of the offset boxes have gone missing and so we have simplified the hunt somewhat. The clues that were in the offset boxes will now be found in the main cache container instead. Therefore no keys will be needed.
