This is the second in a series of multi-caches we're hoping to set up in the area and once again we've built it round local history and places of interest.
The total length of the walk is less than half a mile, mostly along the sea wall with great views over Pett Level on one side and the beach on the other. Visiting at low tide would make part of the walk more interesting but it’s not essential. Bring binoculars if you're interested in birdwatching and waterproof footwear is recommended if you decide to take a wander on the beach. Beware of the mud holes!
The co-ordinates given are for the suggested car park at the start of the walk.
Information found at the first location will provide the means to calculate the co-ordinates of the cache.
The original cache (and it’s location!) disappeared so we’ve replaced it close enough to the original co-ordinates to enable them to be used. The replacement cache is small plastic box. Contents when placed: Log sheet, Pen, Frog Finger Puppet, Party Popper, Football whistle, RNLI badge, Toy racquet
Car parking space is usually available at various points alongside the road but there is off-road parking on rough ground at N50 53.834 E000 42.032
From the suggested parking area, cross the road and walk along the sea defence wall to the first location at N50 53.937 E000 42.266 where you need to find the answer to the following question:
