Geocache Description:

Not far from your car! Yellow Tupperware with yellow lid medium size box!

Oldport or Newport - There is much history (visit link) here on Swan Creek - So I am told Indians lived along the banks of this creek. The creek was used as a border marker for Frenchtown (which was the name of Monroe before it was named Monroe) There are lots of birds around. I've seen a King Fisher - Wood Ducks -Cranes - Egrets and keep an eye open for Eagles! See how many you can spot! Take a look at the History Marker at the church. If the church is open sneak a peak - it is a very old church! Nice quiet library across the water. Bring your fishing rod or a small boat! There is a launch here - shallow water all the way out to Lake Erie. Very pretty ride. Lotus Flowers in the swamp areas. Please replace the cache carefully and make sure it is back out of sight from little kids who might wander. Beware of seeing eyes! Lots of people come to have lunch in their cars so look to see who is watching!!! During the summer warm months this site gets really busy! So you might have to be really sneaky.
This was a good spot to start BOZO TB on his way!
He also has company - Captain Beverage! TB from CA!
Original cache was taken. Spring 2005
