Geocache Description:

A hidden gem in Darien, Stony Brook Park is a very small park (11.3 acres) within sight of I-95. This small park packs a punch with a wonderful cascade containing some large boulders that invite summer relaxing in mid-stream.

[Begin Update 10/8/2014]
The cache has been updated with a brand new ammo box container and a new log book. The old container had been smashed around quite a bit and needed to be replaced. Enjoy! [End Update]

[Begin Update 8/29/2007]
The bridge referred to below is still gone. A new tree has appeared across the water with the addition of a thin piece of line to help you across. Not sure if I would risk it. The water is very low right now, so crossing the rocks is a simple matter. But next spring it will be a different story. :)

Also, there is a lot of construction in the area now, so it's currently not quite as peaceful during the day as it used to be. But hopefully that won't last for long.
[End Update]

This cache has a high terrain difficulty rating because you MAY have to cross a rickety bridge (see gallery!) to get over the rocky stream. In the summer you may be able to walk across the rocks to the other side. The rocks can be extremely slippery... more than you might think.

This should be a very short hunt. Suitable for a lunchtime grab if you work along I-95. Park entrance is on an access road next to 95, called Ledge Road. Use exit 10 or 11.
