Geocache Description:

This is a regular cache (Large Camo Plastic Jar) located between a blacktop path and an abandoned railroad bed now used for frisby golf.

In 1878 Telulah Park was known as Telulah Driving Park and featured harness racing. A new and improved Telulah Park was dedicated June 15 and 16, 1940. There were dedication speeches by State Senator Robert M. LaFollette and Appleton Mayor John Goodland Jr.

In 1959 the Soo Line Railroad donated their Number 736 Steam Locomotive to the City of Appleton. Number 736 rests inside a fence on the Telulah Park grounds after traveling 2,896,000 miles in service for the Soo Line Railroad. Check out how fast it used to move!!!

Just as you drive into the park, before the first left jog in the road, look up and you will see an active Eagle nest! 4/20/06 Unfortunatley after 3 straight years of raising a family here, the eagles have decided not to return this year. You can still see the large next but probably will not see the eagles...

Enjoy your visit to the park!
