A regular-sized cache in a park in a country town - some scrambling may be required but nothing too strenuous.
I grew up in this town, not very far from the site of this cache. As a kid I used to come up here with my friends and scale the nearby tower and pretend that our action figures were in the process of discovering lost cities hidden in the undergrowth. This place has a magical feeling to me, something that I hope to share with other cachers.
In keeping with the location in a rural town (which has undergone a recent renaissance), this cache's theme is that great Australian tradition - the collectible spoon. In days gone by, commemorative spoons used to be available to buy in souvenir shops, or were handed out to members of Services clubs or the like. They're still available, but these pieces of classic Aussie kitsch seem to have faded from the popular imagination. This cache is therefore designed to be a swap-house for these spoons, whether collected on holidays or garnered from your favourite lawn bowls club. The original contents are five spoons from various scenic locales around Victoria.
Reception may be a problem due to heavy overgrowth. The cache is quite well hidden, so don't be afraid to really get in there and hunt! The container is a one-litre Sistema clip-lid device. Muggles wander past sometimes, but less often than you might think.
