Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the part of Cannock Chase known as, Hednesford Hills and is probably best known for it's Raceway

As with most of Cannock Chase, access can be found from many directions, but the best way to access the site is to park at the long stay car park in Hednesford itself as it is free and is also protected by CCTV.
The car park is located at grid ref N52.42.556 W001.59.754 and is accessed via Victoria Street, which in turn is just off the A460.
You will need to cross the A460 to gain access so care should be taken when crossing, especially with children.
There are many ways to reach the cache but I find it easiest to walk up the side of the war memorial.
The chase is a well used location and there will be many people so can I suggest that when you find the cache, you move away from the location before opening it and make sure the area is muggle free before returning it as there are footpaths from all directions.
Depending on what route you take the going should be quite easy but the final few metres are quite uneven and the ground is covered in ruts so please take care.
The cache is in a 2 litre clear plastic box and is wrapped in a plastic bag.

Finally I would like to say a big thank you to Cannock Chase Council and in particular to Mr Steve Barnes(Countryside Officer) for giving me permission to place this cache on Hednesford Hills, though they have asked me to post the following note on their behalf.

“Hednesford Hills is subject to mining subsidence and that fissures may be present. Any one leaving a main path does so entirely at their own risk. Cannock Chase Council will accept no responsibility for any injury that may result from the granting of this permission.”

Please enjoy my 2nd cache.
