Cache is a 15 minute walk from the High Street in Newton le Willows, Merseyside. Suggest parking would be St. Peter's Church car park N53:27.364 W02:36.804. You're off to discover a medieval motte over a possible bronze age bowl barrow.
This is the second time I've hidden a cache near this location. It would appear the youth of Newton le Willows deem this area suitably far away from school when skiving off! It would appear their hunting skills were better than my hiding skills. I've moved the treasure to a hopefully more out of the way location.
On your way to the cache, which is in the shadow of an ancient burial ground, your route may take you through Willow Park. If so keep an eye out for the ghost of the White Lady who haunts Newton Lake and Castle Hill in general.
A 1 ltr tupperware box, stuffed inside a Tesco carrier bag now contains:
Taxi pin badge
Red notepad
Atkins Diet book (nice!)
A selection of music CDs (please only take one at a time)
A lovely scented candle
A penny / a US penny / a Euro penny.
Enjoy and please make sure you cover up properly.
p.s. This is my first ever cache - any suggestions on more secluded hiding spots would be appreciated!!
