Mile Slip Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

o-sew: This really was a very easy cache to find. Park at the end of the road, take the trail to the end, walk down the slight incline for 100 feet and look in the cave under the boulder. So many people have tried to take the hard way by going directly too it - through the swamp and up the 80 degree hill while fighting mountain laurel that I've decided to archive the cache for their protection.

Geocache Description:

Easy walk in via wide gravel road and trails.

The Mile Slip is as close to wilderness as you can get in Milford. This area has many natural resource features in addition to being a great place to recreate. Wildlife heavily use this part of town. It connects to protected and undeveloped lands in Brookline, Mason and Wilton. In March Milford voted to buy and forever protect this area as conservation land. Take some time and enjoy it. You may see some "no trespassing" sign as you enter the area. You may ignore these but don't wander too far to the north or you will be on private property.
