Geocache Description:

The Page has been updated with new coordinates for the exact spot where the event will be. Picnic Area #3. The first cache boat will leave about 10am, others will be staggered throughout the day so if you can't make the first one don't worry... Let's try to meet about 1-2 pm for food, fun, and games

Canyon Lake Cache Bash is the second annual Canyon Lake Event and promises to be a great one!
All are invited to attend
We will be teaching new cachers use of GPS and use of the GC website search features.
Internet access will be available at the event so bring your GPS cables. We will also have some great games and prizes! All ages welcome! Volleyball and Flag Football maybe?? BYOM (bring your own meat) for the grill and drinks (alcoholic beverages are allowed)
Plenty of camping sites right next to the picnic area.
PLEASE READ THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW:

This year's event will be held at the
Fort Sam Houston Army Recreation Center at Canyon Lake.
Join us at the Picnic Area #3 when you arrive on Saturday.
The first boat(s) will be leaving at 10am

First come-First serve camping unless paid in advance!

You do not have to camp at the Ft. Sam Rec Area. There are many other camping areas available nearby.

We will also be renting several boats for this event and you are asked to help defer the cost of this if you want a boat ride for 7.50/person. This way we can furnish enough boats to handle everyone that wants to go. I will need some volunteer "skippers" if anyone has boating experience, please let me know!

Entrance to the park is $7.00 per carload for civilians and $5.00 for Military personnel paid on arrival.

YOU MUST RSVP IN ADVANCE! We must furnish a list of names for everyone attending IN ADVANCE.
You will need to email me your full names (including children) for everyone in your party and how many vehicles you will bring.

We can reserve camping spots for confirmed attendees. see below:

To confirm attendence you must pay in advance for camping and boating if you want us to reserve your place. We will be paying for your places in advance. The event may be rescheduled in case of inclimate weather If the weather is nice: NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because we will be paying out of our own pocket. . Please include your full name, what type of site you want (tent or RV), when you will arrive, and when you will leave. We cannot reserve places without this information!!
