Watauga Geocache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wee Willy: Checked on cache today and it is not there. It lasted more than 4 and a half years with a 126 finds. Had a good life and now it's time to go so someone can plant a micro here. They are easy to place and who worries about loosing a 35mm canister.

Geocache Description:

This camouflaged plastic container with a screw on lid is located about 100 feet off a walking/bicycle trail. You will encounter brier thorns during the last 20 feet of your approach to the cache site.

We were in the Watauga area fulfilling the wishes of a Travel Bug who wanted to visit Watauga. We had done a couple of Watauga area caches and had hoped to drop her off in the Breakwater cache or the Little Cache on the Prairie if they were big enough. However, it started to get warm and we were all getting thirsty and tired and she suggested that we create a cache just for her and leave her to rest along this trail. Miss SnuggleWuggles Drunk Cousin said she’d return to this cache after she fulfilled her mission of visiting other grand cities. We created the cache and wished her a safe journey.
