Culpepper's Dish Traditional Cache
Mike+Mary: The vegetation hereabouts has changed & there is no sign of the original cache. We think it has run its course.

This cache is located on Bryants Puddle Heath, part of the ‘Egdon Heath’ of Thomas Hardy’s novels. It is one of our three Egdon caches.
There is a good car park at N50 43.890, W002 15.850. Just across the road is Culpepper’s Dish (spelling and apostrophe both apparently optional!). It is a swallow hole – a deep, tree-filled pit caused by subsidence in the chalk below the gravel subsoil. There are many such holes in this part of Dorset but none so large and impressive as this one.
You have a path walk of less than 700m to the cache. It's a 180ml rectangular plastic container so only room for very small items.
