This is one of our 'Egdon caches'. It is an offset cache located near Moreton, where ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ is buried. Information about T E Lawrence can be found at www.lawrenceofarabia.info and from many other sources.
There are several parking places including the above co-ordinates. The cemetery containing Lawrence’s grave is nearby. He died in 1935 and his funeral at St Nicholas Church, Moreton was attended by many famous figures including Winston Churchill who deemed him "one of the greatest beings alive in this time". The church is well worth a visit to view the Laurence Whistler engraved windows.
A notice board at N50 42.185, W002 16.630 records two poets who were mourners at his funeral. Let the number of letters in the surname of the first poet = A; the first name of the second poet = B; the surname of the second poet = C. The cache is to be found at N50 42.(B-A),B,C, W002 16.(A+C-B),(B-A),B. It is an easy path walk.
