Geocache Description:

This Font is no longer flowing, but it is located near another source of education, the newly opened (2004) Harper Junior High school. If the source were still flowing then it would also be bringing life to the vegetation along one of Davis' greenbelt areas.

This cache is at the northern end of the Mace Ranch greenbelt which runs north/south on the east side of Lake Alhambra neighborhood and continues SW from La Playa Park to Mace Ranch park, and also East/West from Lake Alhambra though the next neighborhood to the East.

The cache is easily accessible by foot or on bike - the following links give info about Greenbelt and bike paths in Davis:

You can't stop on the road closest to the cache, but you could find other parking nearby and walk to the cache - check out the maps for more info.

4/3/11 Replaced the original container, it's now waterproof. Added a new log and a couple of trinkets. Unfortunately since the original container looked suspicious in todays more cautious times, it no longer has anything to do with flowing water (it used to be a section of irrigation pipe closed at both ends... some of the previous find comments mentioned that this is probably not a good idea any more given that it's close to a school). It's also about 2 feet to the left of where it used to be. The bushes have grown up so much that you can't get to it's original location.
