Geocache Description:

Yet another morbid cache in the Evergreen Cemetery -- enjoy, be safe, and watch out for those free spirits!

As you already know if you have completed the other caches in this location, it is one of the oldest cemeteries in Gainesille. There are markers here dating back to 1800s, interesting stone sculptures, and some seriously spooky places. This multi-stage cache will wind you around some of the outer fringes of the site, asking you to answer questions based on what you observe.

DO NOT do this cache at night -- it is not a safe location. This is serious, not just a joke about ghosts and spirits -- it really is not a safe area to be walking or driving around in after dark.

DO give great respect to those who reside here, their memorials, and any of their visitors.

Start at the coordinates posted above and provide the correct answers to the following:

A. How would you describe the unusual stone structure that you are standing next to? Record the number next to the correct answer.

stone cross = 100
stone bird = 500
stone box = 900

Now make your way back towards the entrance to the cemetery. On the main road, not far from the gate, there are locked doors at 29 37.913 082 18.902. Take a look inside.

B. How many souls were laid to rest inside?

C. In what year was IDA born?

D. In what year did VERNA pass away?

You are almost done with this 'deadly' work. Go and have a rest at 29 37.660 82 18.926. Take a seat and look at the stone in front of you.

E. In what year was this person born? Clue: same year as answer to question C or D.

Now add up all of your correct answers: A+B+C+D+E = XXYY

Take the number you get (XXYY) and look at the first two digits (XX).

Add them to the end of this set of North coordinates:

29 37.757 + XX = actual North coordinates of the cache

Take the last two digits (YY) and add tem to this set of West coordinates:

082 19.042 + YY = actual West coordinates of the cache

Now it is happy hunting! You are searching for an olive green, US Army issue micro-cache hidden in a particularly spooky tree.
