Geocache Description:

A straightforward regular cache easily available to wheelchair users.

To celebrate finding my 100th cache on Table Mountain I have left an easy, regular cache in Kommetjie, which will be maintained by a local family.



Slangkop (snakehead) Lighthouse is the tallest cast iron lighthouse on the South African Coast and well worth a visit. You can climb to the top and the keeper (sorry, “Lighthouse Officer”), Peter, is a great guy with a wealth of information and interesting stories.

Sadly Peter has since passed away but the lighthouse continues to be opened for visits!
The cache is set about 200 mts. from the lighthouse and is not within its fenced off grounds so can be reached at all times.
The cache is a plastic container and contains the usual logbook, pen, pencil etc.
