Geocache Description:

Baker Cemetery consists of several acres of land that most people in DeLand have never noticed. It is the final resting place for hundreds, including legendary musician Noble 'Thin Man' Watts. You'll find Baker Cemetery on Euclid Avenue.

This is a four-part multicache hidden entirely within Baker Cemetery. While there is no designated parking area, there is a driveway where you will have plenty of room to leave your car. This cemetery is not very busy. Even though the gate is never closed and there are no posted hours, we don't recommend visiting this cemetery after dark. It is in a residential area and the neighbors may question your intentions. As you head for the first coordinates, be sure to pay your respects to the dearly departed. It is here that you'll find the second set of coordinates. Don't wake 'Moa' in your search for the second stage. It isn't meant to be impossible to find. Here you'll find a natural element holding coordinates to the (new) third stage. You can take a direct route to get there, but we'd love for you to take your time and get to know some of the residents. And speaking of residents, please use caution at the third stage! Another natural element, this time in plain view of the neighbors. The final stage of this cache is a small ammo can filled with all sorts of little goodies. The cache originally contains: first aid kit, phone card, rub-on tattoos, a tangle, two dvds, a pc game demo that came with a set of batteries, a picture frame, some foreign coins and bills left over from our five years living overseas...and I think that's about it. Oh yeah, and the requisite logbook, pencils, pen, and a camera. Please take a picture of yourself when you find the cache, and write down the photo number in your log. There isn't a designated FTF prize. This cemetery is a special place...very peaceful and a great place to, well, meditate (for lack of a better word). Please be respectful. There is no reason to disturb any of the graves here. If you have the time, please walk around and take a look at this old cemetery. A lot of the headstones are hand-made. Bugs are aplenty here, so please use bug spray before heading out for this cache. Also be on the lookout for snakes...we disturbed one while scoping out cache locations. Not sure if this is Southern tradition or not, but Paula's mom always said, If you're visiting someone's grave, place a rock on it to let them know you were there. Sounds good to us! Finally, this cache wouldn't be possible without a wonderful gift from Mike Baldauff. Many thanks, Mike! Enjoy, Rob, Paula, and Olivia ****IF YOU POST SPOILER PHOTOS THEY WILL BE DELETED****
