This cache is located on the Hall Creek Natural Resources Management Area. Please adhere to all land management rules and use caution during hunting season.
This location is another beautiful piece of Calvert County property that borders the Patuxent, and is used for fishing and hunting. Please adhere to all land management rules and use caution during hunting season. The cache is located approximately .4 from the parking area, near the waters edge. Use the public access path/road to reach the area, and do not cross onto to any marked private property. The cache is placed with permission and within the hunters safety zone, but extreme caution should be used during hunting season.
This location has a long history within Calvert County and you can find the remains of one of Calvert's long lost Ferry Landings. Ferry boats were very important to the agriculture industry and commerce of Southern Maryland. The cache contains a brief history of this area, along with a description of other ferry landings along the Patuxent.
The cache is a large rubbermaid style container, well stocked, with a log book and FTF prize. Enjoy the view!
