Cache is a 1.1L Lock & Lock container. Parking available at N56.23.323 - W003.25.038. GPS reading will vary due to close proximity of cliff and tree cover. Cache is on a rock face. Not for the squeamish! Please take extreme care as its a long way down.
Windy Ghoul is the old name for Kinnoull Hill. Not far from the cache there is a cave called the Dragon’s Den—so named since the sixth century when Brude, the Pictish king, slew a dragon there as a sort of friendly gesture to St. Serf. In the 16th century great numbers of people used to assemble here on the first of May to celebrate a festival, distinctly pagan in character, but it was eventually forbidden by law.
There are several pairs of nesting Buzzards close by, if your lucky you'll see a Red Squirrel or even a Wood Pecker or if unlucky a Doctor.
