This cache is 1/4 mile off the Chunky Gal Trail on Boteler Peak, also known as Shooting Creek Bald. The view from the top is spectacular. Park at Glade Gap (35deg. 4.171N 83deg.37.734W) Your GPSr will tell you that is is 1.7 miles to the cache, but with switchbacks and the course of the trail, it is more like 3 miles with about 1500' of elevation gain. The trail to the top of Boteler splits from the Chunky Gal at 35deg. 4.131 N 83deg.39.299 W and is marked only with yellow and orange ribbons. Just before you reach the cache location is an overlook on your right where you can see to the Smokies on good days. The cache is a standard ammo box, and is packed full. There is a pair of binoculars for the FTF. Please rehide the cache well, and enjoy the walk.
